Lehigh Valley, PA: March 29th – April 2nd 2020

Event Information:

The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce (HLSC) is happy to announce they are bringing back their Chamber Scholarship supporting graduating seniors from the Saucon Valley School District. After taking a hiatus for six years to focus on other local initiatives, engaging more members and enhancing the events, the Chamber is bringing it back!

To jumpstart and kick off the scholarship fundraising efforts, the second event they will host is a Dine & Donate scholarship fundraiser starting on March 29th through April 2nd. Nine participating businesses will donate 10% of their proceeds (listed below) from their selected night, which will benefit the HLSC scholarship fund for Saucon Valley High School. There will be events throughout the year that the board will host as fundraisers so they can award a scholarship towards the end of the school year. The goal is to be able to have enough funds in the account year after year to be able to award multiple scholarships.

Jessica O’Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber mentioned, “The scholarship program is led by our Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber board of volunteers in an effort to provide graduating seniors financial assistance as they further their education. Right now, we have a total of three events planned for the spring and summer of 2020 to ensure we can give out a scholarship for a 2021 graduating senior.” Jessica encouraged everyone to support these nine local businesses that have stepped up to support this local initiative, supporting our future leaders.

Ricky Gower, Chair of the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber board said, “We are very happy to bring back our Scholarship Program. Part of what we do at the Chamber is invest in our communities and our youth to do our part in ensuring their futures are very bright.” He went on to mention that the Chamber’s Scholarship Program is a longtime tradition and they are thrilled to see its momentum build once again.

Lauren Bertucci, Manager of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber commented, “It is so exciting to see the community buy-in to assist in supporting our future community and business leaders. We could not be happier with the response we received from local business owners.”
