CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY OF THE GLV, Allentown is hosting a 2020 Volunteer Kick-Off 6:30-8pm on March 19th at our office, where new and existing volunteers can learn about the many volunteer opportunities that will be available, such as our special events, office and clerical, health and wellness fairs, walk/run group that will participate in local races, outreach, and general facility maintenance. COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE OF THE LV, Bethlehem is looking for front office support that can assist with the following tasks: general office duties, knowledge of Word and Excel, maintain kitchen, conference rooms, and restrooms by replacing supplies as needed, look through news articles and upload to CACLV website, provide administrative support. FLINT HILL FARM EDUCATIONAL CENTER, Coopersburg needs help with Spring Clean-up day 8am-1:30pm on March 21st to add the personal touch to flower beds, play areas, woods walk, fencing, etc. Also need volunteers 9am -1:00pm March 28th to assist with assembling the precut wood frames for raised flower beds and then filling and grading the boxes in preparation for our school groups. LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK, Muhlenberg is looking for volunteers to help in our numerous physical therapy departments located throughout the Lehigh Valley. LEHIGH COUNTY SPECIAL OLYMPICS will be offering a required training class to become a certified golf coach. There are eight practice sessions in this golf program. Must be available for Eastern Sectionals and Summer Games at Penn State; date TBD. Location & start date of golf program to be announced. Volunteer registration and background check is required. Practices include learning the golf terms, types of clubs, and how they are used. Exercises include how to chip, putt and drive. PROJECT OF EASTON needs volunteers to help with spring cleaning 9am-12:30pm on April 1st. Jobs include raking leaves, picking weeds, removing debris from shrubs, window washing and other related activities. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown needs help from noon-4pm on March 21 for a shelter clean-up day! We’ll be cleaning apartments, preparing garden beds, cleaning and organizing our basement and cleaning hallways. The shelter will provide all necessary supplies, just bring water, wear long pants and closed toed shoes. It’s a good idea to dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

VOLUNTEER CENTER of the LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is seeking diverse volunteers for its volunteer leadership program, Project Blueprint, that develops and trains leaders to serve on boards and committees of local non-profit agencies.
