Operation BBQ – Meal Distribution on Thursday, May 28th

WHAT: Distribution of Meals

WHERE: Blue Valley Farm Show 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor, PA 18013

WHEN: Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Lamont McClure and the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), in collaboration with Lehigh Valley Food Policy Council, will distribute Operation BBQ relief meal boxes to residents of Northampton County on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Blue Valley Farm Show complex: 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor, PA 18013.

The meals boxes are first come, first served and will be distributed from a refrigerated truck until supplies run out. Each person will receive a pan of food, which will feed four people. There is no charge and no personal information is needed to participate.

Upcoming additional sites will be scheduled around the County in the next few weeks.


 

Operation BBQ Relief Community Meal Distribution May 29 at Muhlenberg College

WHO:        Lehigh Valley Food Policy Council in cooperation with Muhlenberg College

WHAT:      Free Meal Distribution – Drive Though Pick Up

WHERE:   Prosser parking lot- behind Seegers Union

Muhlenberg College, 2400 Chew Street, Allentown

WHEN:    May 29, 2020 from 10:00 – 4:00 PM

The Lehigh Valley Food Policy Council in partnership with Muhlenberg College and the City of Allentown will distribute Operation BBQ relief meal boxes on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Muhlenberg College, 2400 Chew Street, Allentown. The meal boxes will be distributed from a large refrigerated truck in Muhlenberg’s parking lot.

There will be approximately 1,700 meal boxes to distribute. First come, first served until meals run out. Each person will receive a pan of fresh cooked frozen restaurant meals for four. There is no charge and no personal information is needed to participate.  Each passenger must wear a mask.

Upcoming additional sites will be scheduled around Northampton County in the next few weeks.

*Operation Restaurant Relief is a program launched in March 2020 by the state of Pennsylvania which focuses on helping communities in need during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
