ALLENTOWN AREA ECUMENICAL FOOD BANK needs volunteers Monday, Thursday and Friday, and an occasional Tuesday. Volunteers will pack groceries 12PM -2/2:30pm into 2 bags each for the number of clients who have come that day. Everyone must wear a mask. Call Vanessa, 610-821-1332, aaefb1978@gmail.com.

 

CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB, Fountain Hill & Allentown is looking to the community to help brighten the day of residents who have been unable to have visitors or social programming these past several months. Inspirational (non-religious) cards and letters, or drawings and painting created by youth or adults would be a welcomed addition to everyone’s day! Dedicated staff would also enjoy notes of thanks! EASTON AREA COMMUNITY CENTER is looking for volunteers (min age 18) for their summer camp program. Interested individuals should enjoy working with children aged 5 to 16 years old. You will be assisting with arts and crafts activities as well as outdoor sports activities. Volunteers are needed from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday from June 29 thru Aug. 7. INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK LEHIGH VALLEY provides 24/7 door through door ride service for seniors age 60 and over and visually impaired adults to any destination in the Lehigh Valley. In order to provide this service, we need volunteer drivers to help us with the increasing demand for rides. All rides in Lehigh Valley only. Drive when and where you want. No minimum hours required. Skills-Based volunteers are needed to join our Grant Writing Committee to either write the grants or research & follow up with grants focused in one or more areas: Corporate Relations, Medical Costs, Facility & Operations, Transport, General Grant opportunities, and more. WHITEHALL-COPLAY HUNGER INITIATIVE needs 8 volunteers (min age 16 with parent) every Wednesday 12 noon -1 pm starting on June 17 at our pantry at St John’s Lutheran Church, Whitehall, to unload the food from our truck from Second Harvest Food Bank and then reload our truck for our Coplay food distribution.
