The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce (HLSC) is thrilled to announce our first-ever Virtual Awards Ceremony – Hellertown Heroes & Lower Saucon Lifesavers!

The goal of this event is to celebrate all of the businesses/organizations who went above and beyond to support the community during these challenges times that COVID-19 has presented. The HLSC has heard about a multitude of heart-warming initiatives, however, we need the community’s assistance. We’d like to hear from community for nominations of businesses/organizations who have stepped up. Whether it was donating PPE to healthcare workers, food to those less fortunate or raising money for a notable cause – we want to make sure we know about it!

Nominees will be recognized during the Virtual Awards Ceremony. Nominations can be submitted through the following link https://forms.gle/wxKRe1NZvSGMVft9A or sent to Lauren Bertucci at LaurenB@lehighvalleychamber.org through Monday, July 6th. Please note that businesses/organizations do not have to be Chamber members to be nominated.

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 29th from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM and will be streamed through Facebook Live. Community members can tune in by visiting the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber’s Facebook Page. Hear from special guests, recognize awardees, and most all of, celebrate this community coming together to support one another!

Jessica O’Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber commented, “We have heard so many wonderful stories of local businesses and organizations taking selfless action in helping our community fight this unfortunate pandemic. 7/29 will be a very special evening as we take a moment to express our appreciation for all they have done to help so many in the H/LS area and beyond.  Please don’t miss out on this very worthwhile event!”

Ricky Gower, Chair of the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber Board mentioned, “We need to stand united as a community especially during these times. There have been many businesses and organizations in our Hellertown/Lower Saucon Area who have taken a huge leadership role in helping fellow community members, non profits, healthcare workers, and first responders on the front line. It has been extremely heart warming. Let’s take some time on July 29th and come together (virtually of course) to sincerely honor these Heroes and Lifesavers the way they deserve to be honored.”

Lauren Bertucci, Manager of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber commented, “As Henry Ford once said, ‘If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.’ During these challenging times, community members have worked tirelessly to support one another. We persevered through the initial stay at home orders, shifted from the Red to the Yellow to the Green Phase, and we will continue to move forward together.”
