AUGUST 10-16

(AUGUST 5, 2020): For seven days starting on Monday, August 10, Philadelphia public radio station WXPN will broadcast Woodstock Week: Back to the Garden Again, featuring all 33 music sets from the legendary Woodstock music festival.

Starting with the XPN Morning Show on Monday, August 10, listeners to WXPN on-air and online can enjoy these historic performances interspersed throughout the day and evening through Sunday, August 16. XPN Woodstock Week will take place 51 years following the August 15-18, 1969 dates of the Woodstock Music & Arts Festival (now known simply as Woodstock).

In August 2019, WXPN exclusively replayed every moment from the four-day Woodstock festival in commemoration of its 50th anniversary. Listeners from across the globe tuned in and WXPN’s special broadcast was picked as a “Who Won the Week?” winner on MSNBC.

“Our four-day broadcast last year was a unique, one-time opportunity to bring the entire Woodstock festival to WXPN listeners in celebration of its 50th anniversary,” said WXPN Associate General Manager for Programming Bruce Warren. “This year, we’re looking forward to hearing the full music sets performed by all 33 Woodstock artists – from Joan Baez to Johnny Winter – that will really highlight what the music meant at that special point in music history.”

Listen to XPN Woodstock Week at 88.5 FM in Philadelphia. Click here to find WXPN in Lehigh Valley, North Jersey/Poconos and Central PA. For all the ways to listen to WXPN, visit https://xpn.org/about-xpn/ways-to-stream-wxpn
