Penn State Lehigh Valley offers Certified Recovery Specialist Training this fall

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley and the Southeast Council of Pennsylvania will begin its fall Certified Recovery Specialist 54-Hour Training on Sept. 26, 2020. The CRS assists others in recovery from substance use disorders.

Those with direct experience in addiction and recovery are welcome to register for this program. Those in sustained recovery from substance use disorder for a minimum of 18 months are qualified to become Certified Recovery Specialists.

The registration fee is $995. The price includes all course materials. Classes will run from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. every Saturday from Sept. 26 through Dec. 5 (no class Nov. 28) at the Center Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

This program provides participants with the required hours of education to apply for the CRS credential. Review eligibility requirements for certification prior to registration.
