DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Bethlehem seeks volunteers for Museum Docent who will be responsible for interaction with visitors to ensure they have a safe, enjoyable and enriching experience in our museum. Abilities required include friendly and welcoming demeanor, attention to detail and communication skills. Hours based on availability and desired commitment but prefer minimum of 6-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Minimum age 16. EQUI-LIBRIUM THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP, Nazareth needs volunteers to be a Side Helper and a Horse Leader. A Side Helper is directly involved in the lesson, walking alongside the horse and helping the rider reach their goals. The Horse Leader is getting the horse ready (grooming and tacking) and then leading the horse during the lesson. Training is required. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE, Whitehall is holding a Paint Recycling Event on 10/17. Volunteers will remove paint donations from vehicles, inspect the cans to determine if acceptable & return unacceptable cans to donors. Facemasks required & social distance rules apply. MEALS ON WHEELS OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Northampton County needs drivers to deliver meals to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. Volunteer once a week, once a month, or whenever your schedule permits; we provide step-by-step directions and delivery instructions. PHOEBE TERRACE, Allentown is seeking a volunteer on Mondays or Tuesdays to help seniors order their groceries online. Being proficient with a computer would be extremely helpful but the ordering process is simple! Ordering usually takes ~2-3 hours and the timing is flexible. VOLUNTEER CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY needs virtual volunteers for our Holiday Hope Chest program to create item “wishlists”. Provide us online links to items (toys, books, clothing, school supplies, etc.) from popular stores such as Amazon, Walmart, 5 Below, Target etc. organized into 4 groups; ages 6-8, ages 9-10, ages 17+, and a list of bulk items to purchase for any age group. The items must be able to fit into a shoebox and follow our acceptable item instructions (provided to you). These lists will be used to help give Holiday Hope Chests donors suggested items for filling their boxes. You do not need to purchase any of the items, just send us links.
