CATHOLIC CHARITIES DIOCESE OF ALLENTOWN – A Volunteer Ombudsman is a community neighbor specially trained to find answers and resolve simple problems older adults experience in the long-term care system. Catholic Charities is looking for volunteers who enjoy visiting with others and have 3-4 hours a month available. HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. Suggested gift lists are provided on our website. This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. To participate, go to www.volunteerlv.org/holiday-hope-chests and fill out a 2020 Donor Pledge Form. Opportunity to collect and wrap empty shoeboxes, too!

 

INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK LEHIGH VALLEY provides 24/7 door through door ride service for seniors age 60 and over and visually impaired adults to any destination in the Lehigh Valley. In order to provide this service, we need volunteer drivers to help us with the increasing demand for rides. All rides in Lehigh Valley only. Drive when and where you want. No minimum hours required. LEHIGH VALLEY SCORE needs Volunteer Mentors to coach Entrepreneurs at no charge for our local chapter in the nation-wide SCORE organization. LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville is looking for volunteers to help make our annual Winter Lights Spectacular event more fun starting November 13th and running to January 2nd. Shifts 5:30PM-10PM for Wednesday and Thursday, and 4:30-10PM for Friday through Sunday. Volunteers will assist with our concession stands, crafts booth, activities booths, attending fire pits, photo booth station, and more. Minimum age:13. PROJECT OF EASTON needs volunteers in our Early Childhood Center, Mondays through Thursdays to be teacher’s aides. It would be for 2 – 2.5 hours per day between 9AM and noon. Preferably a commitment of 2-4 days per week. Volunteers would provide general help to our teachers and would be required to have ECE clearances in place before starting. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK needs Lobby Greeters every day of the week from 8AM-12PM,12-4PM or 4 – 7 PM.
