ASD offers Keystone and PSSA Focused Workshop



 

Workshop is part of the District’s “Parent University”

Allentown, PA (March 11, 2016)  As part of the Allentown School District’s “Parent University,” the District will be hosting its Keystone & Pennsylvania State Standardized Assessment (PSSA) Workshop on Wednesday, March 16. The workshop is FREE and open to all ASD parents and guardians; and will be held at Dieruff High School’s Media Center, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Parents and guardians who attend the workshop will be provided with information on expectations of these standardized tests, support options in place to assist their student in preparing for the tests, and ideas on what they can do to continue supporting the learning process at home.

ASD’s “Parent University” was created to offer parents and guardians the opportunity to attend workshops focused on insightful information on a variety of educational and healthy topics that would be of benefit to their students and families.

The remaining workshops are scheduled as follows:

    • April 6; 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Location TBD: How to connect with ASD services/supports
  • April 27; 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Harrison Morton Middle School Auditorium: Healthy Minds/ Healthy Bodies
  • May 11; 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at South Mountain Middle School: Social Emotional Learning/ Restorative PracticesLouis E. Dieruff High School is located at 815 North Irving Street, Allentown.
