Gregg Allman Band, a Southern rock/Blues rock band from GA, performed at the Sands Event Center last night. The band’s unique blend of rock, blues, country and even jazz engaged the multiple generations of his fan base. Gregg opened up the show with his powerful vocals playing on his Hammond Organ. Throughout the night, each musician had their share of the spotlight and none of them failed to blow my mind! By the end of the show he moved over to his guitar and had the entire crowd dancing and singing to “Melissa” and “Midnight Rider.” They closed out the show performing “Southbound,” which featured intense solo performances by each of the band members. Gregg Allman owns seven music festivals in the United States, including the Peach Festival at The Pavilion at Montage in Scranton, where he will be headlining this year from August 11th-14th. Their tour is scheduled through September 25th.
