Valley Elite All Stars Gives Back for the Holidays

As Valley Elite All Stars competition cheer team continues their 2014-2015 season, they never lose sight of those in need. Throughout the year, the athletes and coaches are mindful that others in their home community could use some help, especially around the holidays. Like any other sport, competition cheer requires that team mates work together and help each other to succeed.

Tracy Baker on the program – “Valley Gives Back is as much a part of our program as training. Our goal is to help our athletes grow not only physically, but as a member of the community and as a person”

This year Valley Elite has partnered with Carolyn Serva, Executive Director of Family Connection of Easton, Inc. which provides assistance to families in need in the Easton Area School District. With the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Adopt-A-Family the team hopes to make a family’s holiday that much brighter.valley at Healthquest 2

“We thank Valley Elite for holding a food drive in support of our Backpack Pals program, which relies on donations to supply EASD children at-risk for hunger with bags of food to take home over long holiday weekends.  The holidays are an especially difficult time for some families, so their willingness to go beyond the food drive and Adopt-A-Family for Christmas means so much!” – Carolyn Serva

In addition Valley’s team ‘Big Red’ helped out and performed for the kids at the recent HealthQuest of Hunterdon Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 13th. Showing youngsters that fitness can be fun is a great way to encourage healthy habits as they grow.  “HealthQuest has been hosting Breakfast with Santa for over 10 years. Every year the kids are so delighted, and that’s what it’s all about! It is a wonderful community event that has become a staple in our members’ calendars!”  – Deirdre Whalen, HealthQuest General Manager
