New Additions to Board, Staff Help to Further Mission

(BETHLEHEM TWP.) – Meals On Wheels of Northampton County proudly welcomes four new Board members, who will serve two-year terms, and a new staff person into the organization.

Carrie Fleckenstein has been with St. Luke’s University Health Network since 2012 and serves as Senior Network Director for Senior Care. A Coopersburg native, she previously served as a Physician Relations Representative with St. Luke’s before assuming her current role. Carrie has a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA.

Ed Flowerdew is Vice President of Operations for Boyle Construction Inc. in Allentown. He rejoined the firm in 2015 after previously working for Boyle until 2012. He received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Maryland and is a resident of Lower Macungie Township.

Albert R. Kortze is a certified professional engineer with Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc., which has three office locations. Kortze has been with the firm since 1984. Albert has Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering and an Associate Degree in Surface Mining Technology from Pennsylvania State University.

David Romanelli, CFP, has been a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2007. He previously spent more than 18 years with Telcordia Technologies in Piscataway N.J. A resident of Glen Gardner, N.J., David holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J., as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems and Business from Moravian College.

In addition, the following officers have been named to the Executive Committee: President – Thomas Foote, Jr., Brown-Daub Inc., retired; Vice President – Nicole Loyd, Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students from Moravian College, Secretary – Peter Christian, President of Enterprise Systems Partners; Treasurer – Warren Henderson, Partner with Campbell, Rappold and Yurasits LLP; and Past President – Debra Ghia, Vice President/CACFP of Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers.

Finally, Tom Harper joins the staff at Meals On Wheels of Northampton County as Director of Development. Tom has nearly 15 years of experience with fundraising and marketing for nonprofit organizations, having served most recently as Director of Advancement for Mercy School For Special Learning in Allentown. He is a Bethlehem Township resident.

Meals On Wheels of Northampton County is a private, nonprofit organization that has supported healthy living through the delivery of nutrition services since 1972. We provide meals and smiles for more than 1,500 seniors and adults with disabilities each year. In 2017, we expect to prepare more than 557,000 hot and cold, medically tailored meals for our clients as well as three sister Meals On Wheels organizations and Senior Centers in Lehigh County.
