Valley Preferred Cycling Center Launches T-Town App

TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – As part of planned initiative this off-season to heighten the fan experience, the Valley Preferred Cycling Center launched the T-Town App early Friday morning. The app, which is available on both iTunes and the Google Play store, serves multiple purposes, including a fan guide on race night.

The app, which is a free download, includes the track calendar, the World Series of Bicycling schedule, multimedia content, and the weather forecast for Trexlertown, Pennsylvania. Additionally, it features a T-Town news feed as well as the VPCC’s Twitter and Facebook feeds. It will also be another way for fans to purchase single race tickets, when they become available.

The final feature within the app is a directory of riders who compete in the World Series of Bicycling. The Racers section, as it is referred to within the app, gives a list of both men and women riders whom are competing on Friday nights. The information about the rider includes age, team affiliation, career accomplishments, social media handles, and other miscellaneous information about the rider. Once racing season commences, it will also include the rider’s number, to assist fans in finding that rider in the pack. This section will continuously be update to reflect who will be in the field that particular Friday night.

“We are doing a lot this offseason to better the fan’s experience here in T-Town,” said Marty Nothstein, VPCC Executive Director. “This app is a great tool for fans, near and far, to stay connected to the track. It is just one of many things we are doing to make the experience better for our dedicated fans.”

Also, the app can send push notifications to those who download it with news alerts, exclusive discounts, and other T-Town tidbits.

The app is currently available for both Apple and Android devices.
