The Honorary First Defenders will be participating in their annual church service at Zion’s Reformed U.C.C. Church, 620 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA.  The original First Defenders were called to protect our capital in April, 1861 and stopped at Zion’s church to pray before boarding the train the Harrisburg.  The church service is held on the date closest to Abraham Lincoln’s birthday who was President in 1861.  The church service will include the 96th Pennsylvania Regiment Color Guard and Civil War reenactors.         

Please join us for this event.  Refreshments immediately following the service, sponsored by the Honorary First Defenders. All are welcome.
