February 25, Angel 34 Award Ceremony, St. Joseph the Workers Church in Orefield, 1-4:30 PM.

Parkland School District will receive a 2016 “Sweet Pea” Award to acknowledge their work in the fight against childhood cancer (Angels in Disguise). Over the past four years, Parkland High School and Kernsville Elementary School have been leaders in the community making sure that “Every Child Has Its Own Angel During Their Battle with Cancer” by participating in fundraising events. The award will be presented at 3:15 PM during the 7th Annual Wine and Chocolate Event.

February 25, Parkland Boys Basketball Playoff Game vs. Stroudsburg @ Allen at 6 PM. $6 tickets at the door.

February 26, Purse Bingo hosted by the PHS Softball Booster Club, PHS Cafeteria.
20 games—$20 donation, 5 Specials, 50/50 Progressive, Bonanza Game, Silent Auction, Doors open at NOON, Bingo starts @ 1:30 PM, Kitchen opens at Noon.

February 27, Parkland Girls Basketball Playoff Game vs. Easton @ Catasauqua at 6 PM. $6 tickets at the door.

February 27- March 3, World Language Week at OMS, SMS and PHS!

February 27- March 3, End the R-word Week at PHS!

The PALS Club (Peer Assisted Learning Support) will ask the student body to make a pledge to not use the word “retarded.” The campaign asks people to pledge to stop saying the R-word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people. Language affects attitudes and attitudes affect actions. Pledge today to use respectful, people-first language. Visit Chipotle at 3114 Tilghman St. on Feb 28th for the PALS Club fundraiser.

March 1, Subway Sandwich Day in the SMS and OMS Cafeterias during lunch!

March 3 – Cetronia Bingo Night, 6-9 PM

March 3 – Kernsville Movie Night, 7 PM

It’s time to register for Kindergarten!

All students who will be new to Parkland for Kindergarten or First Grade this fall should call their neighborhood elementary school now for an appointment. Not sure which school your child should attend? Just click on our handy school locator tool.

Order a Senior Class Yard Sign

Class of 2017 is selling yard signs to congratulate seniors. Signs will be printed

on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24” x 18”, and come with yard posts. Checks should be

made payable to PHS Class of 2017. Forms can be submitted online at the following
