April 21 – Elementary Chorale Spring Concert at SMS, 7 PM

April 21 – Earth Day – Oreo Cookie “Dirt Dessert” will be served in the Elementary School Cafeterias FREE to all students who purchase lunch this day.

April 22 – Teacher Tech Conference at PHS. Parkland will play host to a technology conference that will include workshops on the latest instructional techniques, gadgets, apps and personalized learning tactics. Click here to see what it’s all about: http://www.psdttc.org/

April 24 – Post Prom tickets go on sale in the PHS Auditorium Lobby, 7:15 – 8:15 AM and 2:15 – 3:15 PM daily.

April 27, George Washington Portrait Dedication, Kernsville Elementary School, 10 AM. The portrait program is run by the Mount Vernon Ladies Association (MVLA). The MVLA was the first national historic preservation organization and is the oldest women’s patriotic society in the United States. Their pioneering efforts in the field of historic preservation have set an important precedent and model for many organizations around the nation. Since 2007, Mount Vernon has been providing stunning reproductions of the Rembrandt Peale’s famous Porthole Portrait of George Washington to schools, libraries, and government offices across the country.

April 27, Middle School Parent University, 7 PM at Springhouse Auditorium. Next year’s 6-8th graders will be issued a Chromebook. Find out how Parkland’s Personalized Learning Program is transforming teaching and learning in the 21st Century.

April 28 – EARLY DISMISSAL DAY, HS/MS 1 PM and Elem Schools at 1:45 PM.

April 29 – Annual Community Services Fair in the PHS Cafeteria. Don’t get stuck in a rut. Know where to turn should an emergency strike or you or your neighbor fall on hard times. Click here for the flyer.

Order a Senior Class Yard Sign

Class of 2017 is selling yard signs to congratulate seniors. Signs will be printed

on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24” x 18”, and come with yard posts. Checks should be

made payable to PHS Class of 2017. Forms can be submitted online at the following
