May 22 – PHS Academic Awards Night, PHS Auditorium, 7 PM.

May 23 – Proposed 2017-18 Final General Fund Budget Presented for Adoption at School Board Meeting, 7 PM.

May 24 – FIRST EVER STEAMM Expo at Orefield Middle School, 12-2 PM.

STEAMM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math and Medicine. Ninety 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will act as teacher presenters at 35 stations to showcase information and interactive activities about career paths in STEAMM fields. In addition to the stations, the Parkland High School Robotics Team will be there throughout the day to demonstrate what they have learned and students will receive a visit from the liquid nitrogen crew from Air Products and the Moravian Neuroscience College Team and more. The Expo will be attended by 5th and 6th graders in Parkland School District.

May 26 – District-wide School Volunteer Lunch at LCTI, 12:30 – 2 PM.

May 29 – MEMORIAL DAY – Schools Closed.

Class of 2017 is selling yard signs to congratulate seniors. Signs will be printed

on both sides and come with the yard posts (see photo above of the sign graphic). They will be available in May 2017. You will be emailed when signs are ready to be picked up at the HS. Each sign is $22. Signs are vinyl, 24” x 18”, and come with yard posts. Checks should be

made payable to PHS Class of 2017. Forms can be submitted online at the following
