TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – Post-race fireworks lit up the night sky following the UCI Red Robin All-Stars, but during the race it was Japan providing the fireworks on the track on Saturday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.

The Japanese national team, just one of 19 different countries in T-Town competing, swept both the men’s and women’s UCI keirin titles. For the women, Yuka Kobayashi was the victor and for the men it was Yuki Wakimoto who crossed the finish line first.

The two other events that were for UCI events were Eliminations races for both the men and women. Jen Valente, from the U.S., showed her abilities and won the women’s event while Tom Rotherham was triumphant in the men’s race.

Rotherham also won the men’s 3km scratch race while Valente was another repeat winner with her victory in the women’s points race.

Additionally, the all-stars from the Spring 2017 season of the Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League competed under the bright World Series of Bicycling lights. Ryan Thornton, Vanessa Romano, Divya Verma, Divik Verma, Gavin Wagner, and Jonah Hover were all victorious.
