Bethlehem, Pa. — June 20, 2017 — In an ongoing mission to address topical health and wellness issues facing the Greater Lehigh Valley, PBS39 has made its Close to Home documentary series available online.

By visiting PBS39’s new Close to Home webpage, members of our community can view the full versions of already-released programs in the series, and access additional resources pertaining to mental health topics highlighted within the series’ newest installment, Close to Home: Depression.

“The goal of our Close to Home documentary series is to offer help and hope to those struggling with our region’s major health issues,” said Teri Haddad, EdD, SVP of Education and Production at PBS39. “By making these programs and accompanying resources available online, members of our community now have this information available to them any time they desire.”

Completed programs in PBS39’s Close to Home series include:
  • Close to Home: Cancer Survivorship: PBS39 partnered with oncologist Dr. Rick Boulay, Lehigh Valley Health Network, and the Catherine Boulay Foundation to present this documentary exploring the many emotions and trials of cancer survivorship. Close to Home: Cancer Survivorship follows physicians and their patients through their cancer battles, exploring themes of fear, hope, faith, journey, advocacy, and caregiving.
