Lehigh Valley Sports Hall of Fame receives charter as new chapter of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame



 

Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Senior Vice President Joe Bordell presented the Charter of the new Lehigh Valley – Pocono Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame to new Chapter President Ed White and Vice President Joe Mayer at a regional meeting of the officers from the eight Chapters in the Northern Region of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Wednesday, June 28, at the Perkins Restaurant & Bar in Hazelton.

The Charter of the new Lehigh Valley – Pocono Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame approved by the PASHOF Board on May 19.

 

The statewide organization approved the Lehigh Valley – Pocono Chapter as its 29th Chapter at a meeting on Friday, May 19th.

 

White announced the new Chapter at the annual banquet of the Lehigh Valley Sports Hall of Fame on May 20th.

 

The Lehigh Valley Sports Hall of Fame is a local organization formed to recognize athletes from the greater Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania and the Poconos while promoting youth growth.

 

The new Chapter will hold its next annual induction ceremony, awards, and banquet on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Northampton Banquet and Event Center in Northampton, PA.
