WDIY’s “Heart of the Valley” Antiques Show celebrates its 15th Anniversary

(Lehigh Valley, PA) WDIY 88.1FM, Lehigh Valley’s Community NPR Station, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its annual fundraiser, The “Heart of the Valley” Antiques Show on March 7 and 8, 2015 at the Charles Brown Ice House, 56 River Street, in the “heart” of historic Bethlehem.

The Ice House will be transformed into an antiques collector’s wonderland. Select dealers will be offering quality wares in the form of textiles, pottery, folk art, quilts, primitives, toys, holiday items, painted and formal country furniture and so much more. People love to attend this show as much for the location as well as the dealer offerings. “When you pair what these dealers bring to exhibit with the architectural elements of the structure, you have quite a fabulous looking space in which to browse and buy,” says Anne Bedics, the Show Manager.

“This is one of the few antique shows with a soundtrack,” remarks Bedics. “After all, we are raising funds for Community Public Radio, so why wouldn’t we want to enhance your shopping experience with the strains of Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, Big Band, Jazz and a variety of music that puts you in the mood to enjoy yourself while searching for that treasure?”

Since there is so much to see, the shopper can “rest up” and “recharge” by having a hearty lunch or scrumptious snack provided by Valley famous Backdoor Bakeshop of Bethlehem who will be selling their signature soups, sandwiches and snacks throughout the weekend.

Show hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday. For more information including a complete list of exhibitors, visit www.wdiy.org. You can also find show information at the official Facebook page, www.facebook.com/hovdiy, or by calling 610-694-8100 ext. 4. Admission is $7.00, $6.00 with ad.
