Hamilton District Honors “Volunteer of the Year”

Allentown, PA – April 14, 2015

The Hamilton District Main Street Program held its Annual Meeting and Volunteer of the Year Recognition Awards luncheon at The Dime earlier today.

Santo Napoli, owner of three downtown Allentown businesses – NY Urban, The Archive and assembly 88 and who also serves as the chair of the Business Development Committee was honored today as Volunteer of the Year for his expert work in the development and creation of the Allentown Merchant Program – AMP gift card program. Through Santo’s dedication and leadership, we sold over $102,000 worth of gift cards since we launched the program in September 2014, and there is still over $48,000 of funds to be spent in downtown Allentown. The AMP gift card has been a huge success uniting the merchants and bringing new visitors to our downtown Allentown.

Participating merchants are listing on the http://www.downtownallentown.com/ website.

During the annual meeting, Miriam Huertas, Sr. Vice President for The Chamber also recognized Air Products and City Center Lehigh Valley for their financial contributions to the AMP program. Their financial support allowed the Main Street Program to successfully manage and market the AMP gift card program.  Laurie Hackett, Jeff Vaughan and Jim Harbaugh represented Air Products and City Center respectively.

We extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Santo Napoli, and Mayor Ed Pawlowski declared April 14 “Santo Napoli Appreciation Day.”
