Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley to Host 17th Annual Holiday Hope Chests Program

Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley will once again be holding their annual Holiday Hope Chests Program to benefit children in need in the Lehigh Valley.  Each year in the Lehigh Valley – individuals, families, youth groups, businesses and business partners – create magical holiday memories for local children by taking part in Holiday Hope Chests. This simple, easy to complete project needs only a shoe box, your imagination and a generous spirit, to create priceless memories for underprivileged children this holiday season.

In 2016 4,400+ Wrapped Holiday Hope Chests Boxes were distributed to children in the Lehigh Valley.  Our collection goal for 2017 is 5,000 Holiday Hope Chests.

Holiday Hope Chests is a national project adopted by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, in partnership with Enterprise Holdings, UGI and Kids Care Clubs to help less fortunate children living in the Lehigh Valley.  Holiday Hope Chests are individually prepared shoe boxes filled with age/gender appropriate gifts that will be distributed during the holiday season to non-profit agencies here in the Lehigh Valley (exclusively) serving children.

You can participate by visiting Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s website at www.volunteerlv.org to sign up.

Drop off times for 2017 are:  12 noon – 6 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, November 28, 29, 30 and 10 am – 3 pm ONLY on Friday, December 1 at UGI Auditorium Only
