PCFLV and Bethlehem Steel FC Team Up To Go Gold

Today’s Bethlehem Steel FC Game Is Raising Awareness For Pediatric Cancer.

BETHLEHEM, PA Sept. 24, 2017 – Bethlehem Steel FC is raising awareness for pediatric cancer and also raising funds for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) today at their 3 p.m. match against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Goodman Stadium. Gates open at 2 p.m.

Local pediatric patients will walk out onto the field with the players prior to the match. Players and kids were matched up, and each player was given information about the child and their cancer journey. Many players took to social media to announce who they were going to be paired up with today.

During the game, a silent auction will be held to raise funds for PCFLV. The auction will feature unique gold warm-ups and arm bands, which will be autographed by players after the match. The auction will run until the 70th minute of the match.

“Everyone at PCFLV is so excited about the match today,” said PCFLV Executive Director Michelle Zenie. “Bethlehem Steel has put together such a terrific experience for our kids between pre-game introductions and post-game activities. And, we get to cheer on the team as they battle against Pittsburgh. It is a great way to honor Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.”
