TEAM ROYAL WINS FALL RED ROBIN MARTY NOTHSEIN BRL FINALS

TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – The Fall 2017 Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League season concluded last week with Team Royal winning the Team Finals to cap off the seven-week season. The night was interrupted by a brief rain delay, which caused a shortening of the schedule, however that did not hinder the riders, who competed in a close competition for that team title.

The evening’s events were broadcast live online by Kutztown University’s television station. That broadcast is available on-demand here and can also be seen on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Wednesday at 8 p.m. on the following channels:

Service Electric Cablevision, Birdsboro CH 24, 524HD

Service Electric Cable TV, Lehigh Valley CH 266, 765HD

Hometown Utilicom, Kutztown CH 191

The broadcast will also be available on RCN. Check local listings for show times.

The members of Team Royal were: Aidan Rau, Casey Schreiner, Cory Dunn, Dean Carl, Elise Palazzo, Elliot Munson, Emma MacDonald, Grayson Hauck, Jenna Lloyd, Jillian Halm, Jonah Hover, Keira Jones, Khalil Moosa, Matthew Peters, Maya Brothers, Noah Hover, Noor Moosa, Reagen Pattishall, Ryan Cwynar, Sonia Lloyd, and Suchir Agarwal. The team was coached by Becky Quinn.

“I’m proud of all the hard work from the kids, coaches, and the velodrome staff to have another great Red Robin Marty Nothstein BRL Team Finals,” said Marty Nothstein, VPCC executive director.

The Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League is one of the most popular community programs the VPCC offers. The league, for ages 9-16, gives riders the chance to learn track cycling then compete on a team against other squads before ending the season with the Team Finals. After successful completion, riders receive a $10 gift card to Red Robin. Read more about the BRL program here.
