Tuesday, November 8, 2017 at SANDS BETHLEHEM EVENT CENTER.

EVANESCENCE lead singer-song-writer (She wrote some of the most incredible songs), bassist Tim McCord, drummer, Will Hunt, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura released their new album SYNTHESIS. The orchestra arranger and composer is David Campbell.

The rain and chilly weather did not stop the music! Tonight at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA, Evanescence: Synthesis with Orchestra took the stage.

The Orchestra was set up first and they did the most incredible rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” and a few more songs. The orchestra was exquisite.  They did a beautiful job. The orchestra had a brief intermission. It sort of made you feel like you were in New York on Broadway at the theatre. The Sands Event staff was efficient and walking around helping everyone find seats. The staff always does an incredible job.

This concert felt different and you could feel it in the air that the crowd was so excited. Amy Lee came on-stage after the intermission.  Amy Lee sounds so incredible live as if you are listening to an album. She played piano which was so amazing to see her play the piano along with her live orchestra playing. She is such a powerful singer. Her voice is haunting yet opera ready. There were “I have chills and goosebumps” comments for most of the concert.  You can physically feel every word whether it is painful or joyful when she is singing. EVANESCENCE is powerful.

It was amazing to hear songs like, “Never Go Back,” “Lithium,” “Secret Door” and more.

The stage looked so beautiful yet simple. It was Amy, the band and the orchestra.  She sang a few new songs from the new album SYNTHESIS.

The new songs were well received. Amy sang her heart and soul out. “Imperfection” was loved as the crowd sang along and she delivered a powerful message telling everyone “you don’t have to be perfect.” Amy also thanked Bethlehem, PA and the fans.

You could feel the enthusiasm and the love from the audience. She sang a few fan favorites including “My Immortal” (goosebumps, chills and tears-so amazing Live) and “Bring Me to Life.” She is a class act and brought music, pure music to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center. She did not need any outfit changes, nothing fancy just her incredible voice and the power of the orchestra made the show incredible.

EVANESCENCE and the Orchestra received a standing ovation and of course she did an amazing encore. Everyone stayed until Amy and the band left the stage. This concert was perfection and Sands Bethlehem Event Center out did themselves as usual.
