Thursday night I headed over to ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem to see Ceramic Animal in the Fowler Blast Furnace Room.  I honestly had not heard of this band from Doylestown and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The show was held in a cozy and intimate room that had a beautiful view of SteelStacks. When Ceramic Animal took the stage, I couldn’t help but first notice their overall polished and dapper look with their formal maroon suits. When they started playing, I knew I was in for a treat! This was their final performance after a year in residency at SteelStacks. And I asked myself why I hadn’t seen them sooner! The vocals were passionate and strong, the lyrics were catchy, and their music had a funky, psych-rock, vintage rock feel.

Their loyal followers knew the words, sang along, and danced throughout the show. Ceramic Animal played songs from their 2016 self-released debut album The Cart, including a crowd favorite “Mistakes.” Overall it was an awesome show and I highly recommend that you check them out. I started the night not knowing anything about Ceramic Animal and I left the show a very impressed new fan! If you haven’t heard their music, you check them out for free on SoundCloud: https://m.soundcloud.com/ceramic-animal.
