Valley Preferred Cycling Center Announces Hiring of New Community Programs Manager

LALIBERTE HIRED AS NEW COMMUNITY PROGRAMS MANAGER

TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – The newest addition to the Valley Preferred Cycling Center management team was announced on Tuesday with the hiring of Scott Laliberte as the new Community Programs Manager. The move was announced by Executive Director Marty Nothstein on Tuesday afternoon.

“I am excited to have Scott join the team,” Nothstein said. “His years of experience in personal training, coaching and cycling as well as his passion for the sport is the perfect mix. His addition to our already world-class coaching team will allow all of our growing community programs to progress to that next level.”

Laliberte comes to T-Town with 30 years of experience in the fitness and coaching industry. Most recently, he was a coach and cycling instructor at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. Additionally, he developed school-aged cycling programs and coordinated youth cycling programs for various organizations in Canada.

“I’m eager to begin in T-Town,” Laliberte noted. “The facilities and programs already in place are unlike anything in the country. I look forward to working alongside Marty and the rest of the great coaches to help build these programs, promote healthy lifestyles, and get kids on bikes.”

Also, Laliberte has his first-aid and CPR certifications as well as certificates associated with personal training and cycling.

The Quebec native joins Nothstein, and Community Programs Assistant, Christopher Gill, as leaders of T-Town’s Junior Performance Academy and the T-Town Elite Maloja Pushbiker youth racing team.

Laliberte will oversee all community programs and work with Gill, who has a UCI coaching certification, to develop schedules, and build on the foundation of the programs. This includes the Air Products Developmental Cycling Programs, the PeeWee Pedalers presented by Teva Respiratory, the Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League, the Gear Up Academy, and the Try the Track program.

Laliberte is set to begin on Nov. 15. He can be reached at slaliberte@thevelodrome.com.
