Old Fashioned Christmas & Friends of the Emmaus Public Library Book Sale

Join us in celebrating the Christmas season with our annual Friends of the Emmaus Public Library Book Sale Friday, Dec. 1 from 6-8PM. Please note that the Library is CLOSED during this event. Stop in or check our website for more information. On Saturday, Dec. 2; Join Miss Sue for Story Time at 10:30, Christmas Crafts at 11AM and The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) G 1h 25m at 2PM.

Children & Youth Events

Home School Share Fair. Monday, Dec. 4 @11AM. Meet with other families on the same journey & listen as students share what they’ve learned in 2 minutes or less. This Month’s Topic: Art Show.

Block Parties! Join us for creative play with the Library’s Architectural Blocks! Tuesdays, Dec. 5 @ 11AM and Dec. 26 @ 4PM. Literary Lunch Jr. Saturday Dec. 2 @ Noon. Grades 4-5. “The Children of the Green Knowe” by Lucy M. Boston. Pre- registration required & the first 10 receive a FREE copy of the Book. Readers bring their lunch & book, Library will provide drinks & dessert.

Literary Lunch. Saturday, Dec. 16 @ Noon. Grades 6-8. “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry. Pre-registration required & the first 10 receive a FREE copy of the Book. Readers bring their lunch & book, Library will provide drinks & dessert.

Crafting Afternoon. Saturday, Dec. 16 @ 2PM. Come prepared to create and craft fun Holiday Gifts! Parents are welcome, as this is a Family Program.

Teen Anime Club. Thursday, Dec. 14 @ 6:30PM.  Japanese Anime of all sorts will be discussed at this Teen only club. Teen Writing Group: Thursday, Dec. 21 @ 7PM. Finding time to write and writing for fun, especially when you’re busy with school, can be tricky. Learn tricks for finding the time, and take part in some writing exercises.

Teen Video Game Design. Tuesday, Dec. 26 @ 2PM. Sponsored by the Emmaus Rotary Club; this hands on program will delve into Digital Game Design. For Ages 6th Grade & up presented by the Da Vinci Center.

Lap Sit Story Time. Wednesday, Dec 27 @ 10:30. For our littlest readers and their care givers, this is an interactive story and social time. For birth to 18 months, each child must have an adult with them.

Books and Barks. Thursday, Dec. 28 – 6:45 PM to 8 PM. Read to the Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs! School ages. Bring your own books, or read the library’s choices.
