BROKEN ALABASTER MINISTRIES, INC./MIRACLE MEADOWS YOUTH RANCH, Allentown needs two adult drivers (age 21+) with Driver’s License and Child Abuse Clearances to transport and supervise 4 to 6 children (ages 8 to 16) from Allentown to Pottstown, PA from 11am-5pm on Saturdays and 1-4pm on Sundays.  The children are low-income, homeless, or formerly homeless children who are receiving free horseback and rodeo training from a professional cowboy.   Call Robbie Matthews, 484-515-1572, beamessenger@gmail.com.

 

GREATER VALLEY YMCA, Allentown is hosting an Annual Community Holiday Dinner on Friday, 12/15 at the Allentown Y.  In previous years they have served 250-350 meals, as well as distributed gifts to under privileged children in attendance.  Volunteers are needed for meal prep, set up, decorating, greeters, servers, runners, and clean up.  Deadline for inquiry is Friday, 12/8.  Call Maribel Tandazo, 610-351-9622, maribeltandazo@gv-ymca.org.

 

JACOBSBURG ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER is hosting their Annual Open House from 12-4pm on Saturday, 12/9 at the Visitor Center.  Volunteers are needed to help with activities, games, and craft stations.  Just an hour of your time would be appreciated.   Call Rick Wiltraut,

LIBERTY BELL SHRINE MUSEUM, Allentown needs puppeteers to help with their 2017 “Pip the Mouse” season from 11/30-12/15/17on Thursday and Friday 12-4pm each day.  “Pip the Mouse” is a children’s puppet show that is 8 minutes long.  Volunteers will be trained prior to doing the show.  There is also a need for a volunteer with cashier experience to help in the Gift Shop on Friday from 12-4pm.  Call Debbie Baldree, 610-435-4232, info@libertybellmuseum.org.
