30 Contestants Compete for a Chance to Perform Live Onstage with Ethan

Bethlehem, Pa. — April 13, 2018 — PBS39 is thrilled to announce the premiere of a brand new talent series “Celebration of Music”.  Seventeen-year-old musical phenom, Ethan Bortnick, has been on the search for exciting young talent.  Thirty of our regions best and brightest have been selected to showcase their musical chops, alongside Ethan, on the new series. The four part program is set to air on Tuesday, April 17 through Friday, April 20 at 6:30pm.

Each finalist will be featured on the show with Ethan presenting a unique segment around each act and talking about each contestant. Contestants will go on to perform onstage at his upcoming “Celebration of Music” concert at ArtsQuest on Sunday, April 29, 2018. The winner is decided through television and online voting, and announced live at the concert itself.

The contest winner will get to perform a solo number live on stage with Ethan and have the opportunity to record a professional single with Ethan. All contestants who appear on the show will join Ethan on stage for a grand finale song to close out the show.

About Ethan Bortnick

When he was just three years old, the Hollywood, Florida native asked his parents for piano lessons and discovered an uncanny ability to hear a song once and play it back note for note – the musical equivalent of a photographic memory. He soaked up the music of such diverse artists and composers as Beethoven, Mozart, jazz pianist Bill Evans, Little Richard, Billy Joel and Elton John, and began creating original compositions at age five. A few years later, Ethan began making television appearances and touring, connecting with audiences in countries such as Japan, Brazil, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

Ethan is recognized by Guinness World Records as “The World’s Youngest Solo Musician to Headline His Own Concert Tour,” and has not only moved audiences throughout the world as a captivating musician, but has also dedicated his life to combining his musical pursuits with his charity work.
