BETHLEHEM, PA— Join ArtsQuest for a food fight fiesta as the popular Food Truck Border Brawl returns to SteelStacks June 10 with 16 mobile eateries from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, plus a “Battle of the Bands” with music by Bruce Springsteen cover band The Bruce Show and Philly-based funk band The Groove Merchants. Tickets for the event, which include a Food Truck Border Brawl “Party Plate” for each guest, are on sale now at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

During the Border Brawl, both attendees and the event judging panel sample the participating trucks’ offerings and then vote for their favorites, with the “People’s Choice” and “Best Overall Food Truck” awards presented at the conclusion of the event. Returning to defend their Border Brawl crowns are 2017 “Best Overall Food truck” winner Phyllodelphia of Philadelphia which wowed the judges and the crowds with its Lollipop Lamb Chops; and The Empanada Guy of Old Bridge, N.J., which is the undefeated “People’s Choice” winner of 2016 and 2017.

Among the new participants are Mama’s Meatballs of Pennsauken, N.J. serving up Meatball Sliders made with a mix of beef, pork and veal topped with marinara, baby arugula and parmesan; Slurp Philly Food Truck, best known for its fresh Ramen and Korean Fried Chicken; Pompier Catering & Cuisine of Hightstown, N.J. which offers vegetarian pierogis and rice bowls; and 2017 Musikfest favorite Baby Blues BBQ of Philadelphia which boasts a menu of southern staples like pulled pork, beef brisket and ribs, as well as decadent Pig Candy Bacon.

With general admission hours from 1-8 p.m. and ticket re-entry, Border Brawl attendees can make this foodie frenzy an all-day affair and finish off the evening with dessert nachos from Polka Dot Cake Shop of Lyndhurst, N.J. or Cookies and Cream Crème Brûlée from Philly-based food truck Crème Brolee.
