AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION/ AMERICAN STROKE ASSOCIATION, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers for their 2018 Lehigh Valley Heart Walk, September 22, 2018 from 8AM to 2PM. Help is needed with set up, man tents, water stations, and walk route as well as clean up. Lunch will be provided. Event will be held at ArtsQuest SteelStacks on Founders Way. BETHLEHEM SPECIAL OLYMPICS needs volunteers to work 1-1 or in small groups with their athletes in the pool. Practices are held on Tuesday from 6-8pm and start in October; greatest need is first shift from 6-7pm. Volunteers must be strong swimmers, but do not need to know all strokes; freestyle, side stroke, and treading water are a must. CELTIC CULTURAL ALLIANCE, Bethlehem invites you to join the 800 new friends waiting to meet you at the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival on September 28, 29, and 30. Many interesting positions ranging from Stage Hands, Ticket Sales, Supply, Runners, Merchandise Coordinators, to Beer Tappers and Wine Servers. Several positions for those who need to remain seated. EASTERN PA DOWN SYNDROME CENTER, Breinigsville – The Lehigh Valley Buddy Walk will be held on Saturday, October 6 at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (rain or shine). Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles from setup to assistance with games and activities, food and water distribution, bounce house assistance, and cleanup. LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville is open 7 days a week from 10am-4pm and is looking for volunteers to help on weekdays (Mon.-Fri.). Volunteers help at a variety of interactive stations including: Giraffe Feedings, Lorikeet Landing, Goat and Barn Yard Exhibit Team, and Kangaroo Tour Team. PROJECT OF EASTON needs volunteers to help with food pantry donation pickup. Help to gather items donated from neighborhood grocery stores, convenience stores, local farms, etc. and drop off at their Food Pantry.
