Easton Hospital Offers Special Programs for Month of October in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness



 

EASTON, PA (October 10, 2018) – In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Easton Hospital offers programs designed for convenient access to specialized services.

Easton Hospital launches Walk-In Wednesday’s, a program designed for the month of October to offer convenient access to the leading 3D technology in breast imaging services for mammogram screenings.

“It is our passion to serve as ambassadors for all women to take routine, preventative measures toward their breast health.” said Mary Ann Cali, RN, MSN, AOCN, Director of Oncology Services at Easton Hospital.

Walk-In Wednesday’s will be available at Easton Hospital’s Forks Health and Wellness Center located at 1800 Sullivan Trail in Easton, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., every Wednesday for the month of October. No prescription is needed.

“As a leader in cancer care, it is our mission to provide convenient access to high-quality services and encourage women to take initiative of their health,” said Chulso Moon, MD, Hematologist-Oncologist at Easton Hospital.

Easton Hospital is also offering free, 15-minute screenings for breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy during the month of October.

The screening will provide education of lymphedema therapy by a certified lymphedema therapist. The screening will also demonstrate decongestive therapy for treatment of lymphedema, the importance of compression therapy, specific exercises for cancer and lymphedema therapy, as well as home management and preventative measures.

Lymphedema screenings will be appointment-only and will be available at Easton Rehabilitation located at 3143 William Penn Highway in Easton. To schedule a screening, call 610-250-4232.
