Health Network Laboratories Names New Chief Financial Officer



 

Allentown, Pa. — Dean Hoppes was named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Health Network Laboratories (HNL) on Aug. 3, bringing a deep passion for continuous improvement, innovation and team development to the organization.

Throughout his career he has championed system-wide innovation and efficiencies and has created significant developmental progress and value for major healthcare organizations in the Lehigh Valley region, said Peter Fisher, president and chief executive officer of HNL

“Dean’s health care sector financial expertise paired with his leadership abilities will support HNL’s continued success in providing unmatched value in service to our patients, our physicians and our healthcare clients,” Fisher said.

Hoppes, of Slatington, previously worked at HNL from 2004-2008 and advanced to the position of director of budgeting, financial planning and billing. He next worked in management and financial planning roles at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network and Good Shepherd Penn Partners and most recently was director of budgeting and forecasting at St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Included among his many accomplishments are the implementation of enterprise wide operating and capital budgeting systems; rolling financial forecasting and planning; budget system automation; strategic financial analysis including merger and acquisition evaluation; and the training of hundreds of operations managers and senior leaders to support successful systems transitions.

Hoppes has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kutztown University and a master’s degree in business administration from DeSales University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
