CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY, Allentown needs 1 or 2 volunteers for weekly cleaning of our program rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB, Allentown is having its Annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 16th. Volunteers are needed 9:30-3:30 to assist residents with their shopping by escorting residents who can walk or pushing residents in wheelchairs, work at tables for bake sale/crafts, set up, clean up, etc. This is an amazing and fun day for everyone. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Easton needs help to get ready for our fall programming and preparing the boat and grounds for winter. Decorate the grounds and museum for fall events and Haunted Hugh Moore Park; prepare the flower beds for winter; staining wood; prepare exhibit room & displays, plus lots more. HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. This program coordinated by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. To participate, go to www.volunteerlv.org and fill out a 2018 Donor Pledge Form. Filled shoeboxes may be dropped off at UGI Auditorium at 2121 City Line Ave., Bethlehem from 12noon-6pm on Tuesday 11/27 through Friday 11/30.

 

LEHIGH COUNTY SPECIAL OLYMPICS, Allentown is looking for 5v5 basketball adult coaches for Feb-May Wednesday evening practices. Certification provided. Must be able to commit to all practices. ST. LUKE’S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK, Bethlehem, Quakertown and Warren Campuses need Volunteer Escorts, Patient Advocates and Hospice Volunteers Monday through Friday from 8am-12pm or 12-4pm. Spend time socializing with and providing comfort items to our patients and provide a lending hand to our staff by performing various supportive duties. This volunteer opportunity is diverse and very active (walking) all while helping to make a difference in the lives of our patients and staff. FRIENDS OF JOHNSTON, INC., Bethlehem Camel’s Hump Farm on the Johnston Estate, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to help plant a new arboretum and permaculture orchard. We are working outdoors every day from 9am- 4:00pm. Please wear clothing that can get dirty, heavy duty boots, and work gloves. Bring water and snacks as you need throughout your shift.
