AMERICA ON WHEELS MUSEUM, Allentown can use helping hands with the following: Tour Guides & Docents – presenting tours to group/individuals sharing the fascinating history within the Museum collection (on-site training is available). The team of volunteers helps ensure that the Museum is one of the best in educational programs/lectures/exhibits and entertainment where visitors can learn about the history of the automobile. LEHIGH VALLEY BUSINESS GROUP is starting Project Keep Warm (PKW) to collect new/gently used winter items (coats, hats, gloves, boots, warm socks, sleeping bags, blankets, tents – NO clothing) and distribute to the less fortunate in our area. Consider being a drop off location; join the PKW planning committee; donation coordinator within your business/social group; volunteer to pick up & deliver donations; or help sort & deliver items to the streets or shelters. PBS39/WLVT, Bethlehem is holding a Holiday Party December 15 in the SteelStacks campus for the TeleBear Cub Club and needs volunteers from 9:30am-12:30pm. Volunteers will assist with crafts, facilitate movie time, help with pictures with Santa and TeleBear, and assist with other fun activities. Also 10AM through 3PM Mon Dec 3 – Wed Dec 5 to fill orders & help load vehicles of nonprofits. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. Minimum age 10 with parental support.
