EEACS Founder and CEO Chosen for Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Superintendent’s Academy

Robert Lysek, founder and CEO of Executive Education Academy Charter School in Allentown, will be participating in the state’s innovative, two-year program.

ALLENTOWN, PA – Robert Lysek, founder and CEO of Executive Education Academy Charter School in Allentown, PA has been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s innovative Superintendent’s Academy. Over 30 superintendents from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have enrolled in the two-year program.

“The entire EEACS community is so proud of our CEO,” says Bruce Johnson, Chief Business Officer of the Allentown charter school. “He will undoubtedly return from this program with valuable insights into ways we can help improve our students’ performance, both in and out of the classroom.”

The program is geared toward superintendents working in schools that serve high-poverty areas in both the rural and urban regions of the state. The program has the backing of Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera.

“Poverty creates conditions for learning that all school leaders must be cognizant of,” said Secretary Rivera. “In addition to ensuring students receive quality instruction, they often must respond to ancillary needs like access to food and nutrition programs, mental health resources and other support services.”

This is the third cohort of superintendents to participate in the program. The first cohort graduated in May 2018. The National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) is partnering with PDE to offer the program. After completing the program, superintendents will receive Act 45 Pennsylvania Inspired Leaders (PIL) Program hours.
