BETHLEHEM SPECIAL OLYMPICS needs additional Basketball volunteers (14+ years) on Monday nights. Practices are held Mondays 6:30-8pm at Northeast Middle School. Must know basics of basketball, commit to attending most practices, and become Class A volunteer by completing background check and a few online trainings. FORGOTTEN FELINES AND FIDOS, INC., Germansville is looking for cat lovers to help clean food bowls, wash linens, clean litter boxes, etc. for about 150 felines at their shelter house/barn. GRACEDALE NURSING HOME, Nazareth needs a volunteer piano player for Sunday Church Service from 10-11am on the first Sunday each month beginning March 3. Services generally last an hour and are held in their Chapel. Music is an important part of the church service and their residents are very appreciative of someone willing to share their talent. LEHIGH VALLEY BUSINESS GROUP has a volunteer opportunity for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 21 from 9am to noon. Come out and help them make a difference at their HOPE Clothing Room inside Emmanuel EC Church, Bethlehem. MEALS ON WHEELS of the GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to deliver meals and/or grocery shop for home-bound seniors and disabled individuals in the Lehigh Valley. PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY THERAPY DOGS, INC., Kutztown seeks volunteers with therapy dogs to visit residents of various nursing homes throughout the Lehigh Valley area. VOLUNTEER CENTER of the LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to attend their LEAD Now program.  This is a board service training program to introduce newcomers to nonprofit board service, provide helpful insights for current nonprofit board members, and create a network of potential board candidates for nonprofits.  LEAD Now is a six-part training program beginning Feb. 7 in Allentown.  Class details and registration may be found at https:///www.volunteerlv.org/LEAD-Now .  Registration is required and there is a fee to attend.
