ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUNDATION is looking for volunteers to read to kindergarten and grade one students in schools throughout the city. Next training is Thursday, February 21 from 2-3pm at Jackson Early Childhood Center, 517 N. 15th St. Background clearances required; directions on how to obtain them will be distributed at training. EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC., Nazareth needs volunteers for their Spring session. Help empower special needs people to reach their fullest potential with horse-related activities. GREATER LV AUTO DEALERS ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION needs volunteers to staff the 2019 Lehigh Valley Auto Show for 4 hour shifts at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus, 10am-9pm March 21, 22, 23 and 10am-6pm Sunday, March 24. LEHIGH COUNTY CASA, Allentown is seeking dedicated volunteers to be court appointed advocates for children in foster care due to abuse, neglect and/or trauma. These volunteers will be the “eyes and ears” of the Judge and advocate for the best interests of the child in court, visit the child at home/placement, monitor how the child is doing in school, observe parental visitations, and be in regular contact with the child. SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, Nazareth is looking for individuals or groups of volunteers to help pack SUNShine Boxes on an assembly line from 8:30am-12:30pm on Tuesday, February 26.  Volunteers will help organize and load pallets, make and break down boxes, and do sweeping. SUNShine Boxes are packages of supplemental food that are distributed to over 2,500 low-income seniors on the 1st and 4th Tuesday of every month.
