St. Luke’s HealthNow to Premiere Latest Episode on April 15



 

The latest episode, Life-Saving Stroke Care, a co-production of St. Luke’s University Health Network and ASR Media Productions, explores the topic of strokes and necessary treatments that can save a life.

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Apr. 1, 2019 – According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Heart Association, stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and is a major cause of serious disability for adults. About 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke each year. Luckily, strokes are preventable and treatable. In this, the thirteenth episode of St. Luke’s HealthNow, stroke experts explore the first signs and symptoms and treatment options that are available. St. Luke’s University Health Network is certified by the American Heart Association as a Primary Stroke Center. The program will air Monday, April 15 at 6:30 PM on WFMZ Channel 69.

Taped before a live studio audience, Life-Saving Stroke Care presents a skilled lineup of St. Luke’s specialists, including Dr. Daniel Ackerman, Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology, and Dr. Martin Oselkin, Interventional Neuroradiologist, whose practice is focused on the treatment of patients suffering from vascular disorders of the brain and spine. The episode also features Dr. Richard Leung, Neuro-Hospitalist who recently joined the network after attending medical school at Ben Gurion University in Israel. Hosted by Ashley Russo, president and executive producer of ASR Media Productions, the program is a collaboration with St. Luke’s University Health Network.
