AMERICA ON WHEELS MUSEUM, Allentown seeks dedicated volunteers (16+ years) for their 2019 season. Volunteers are needed for their 1950’s Café from 11:30am-2:30pm on Saturday and from noon-2:30pm on Sunday. Other areas to share talents are: School Field Trips and Summer Camp Session in July. COMMUNITY BIKE WORKS, Allentown needs volunteers to teach the class in their Earn-a-Bike program. This program teaches students (ages 9-17) basic bike mechanics and safety over a 12-week course. Mentors aid students as they fix their bike and learn communication and teamwork skills. Upon completion of the course, students earn their refurbished bike and a new helmet. FORGOTTEN FELINES and FIDOS, INC., Germansville is looking for a Volunteer Shelter Coordinator to manage their day-to-day administrative activity. Duties include: oversee maintenance and supplies/materials; coordinate and train volunteers; manage vet and vet staff, develop budget, and prepare monthly reports, etc. Must have strong leadership/management, organizational, and communication skills. LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville is looking for dedicated volunteers (13+ years) for the 2019 season. Volunteers may assist with positions including interactive exhibits, conservation activity stations, special events, memberships, marketing, and grounds departments. THE LITERACY CENTER, Allentown is looking for volunteers for tutoring Adult Education Classes from 2-4pm on Mondays and Fridays and other various days and times throughout the week. Work with adult education GED, ESL, and workforce development students. Subjects include reading, writing, and math. Materials and guidance will be provided.
