Carmen Abrazado, bookseller at Delaware River Books, 52 South Second Street, Easton, donated $350 to the Fowler Literacy Center yesterday. #ProJeCtofEaston will use the funds to purchase a refurbished laptop for our students. Carmen donated 15% of her sales during Easton Out Loud and collected individual contributions. She has previously given books to Summer SIZZLE! Carmen believes in the power of literacy and wants to make reading more exciting. She’s had good experiences with an array of our students visiting her used book store.

“Literacy is a very important initiative,” she said, “because there is so much that is accessible once literacy enters someone’s life.”
