BETHLEHEM SPECIAL OLYMPICS is looking for volunteers for their 8th Invitational Swim Meet from 8am- 4:30pm on Saturday May 11 at Liberty High School. Many volunteers are needed to enable this to be an annual event. Full day volunteers sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080f4bafaa22a5f85-2019. If you can do at least a 4-hour shift, do not sign up on Sign up Genius, but contact Dana Lindsey at bso.dana@gmail.com with your time.

 

COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE OF LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem needs many volunteers (preferably women) to help with their SHEs Unstoppable Middle School Girls Conference from 9am-2pm on May 11 at Broughal Middle School. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Easton needs Visitor Service Volunteers and National Canal Museum Docents/Guides for the 2019 season (June – December). Service volunteers act as greeters or assist in the Gift Shop. Guides help bring history to life for visitors. Training and reading materials are provided. MORAVIAN HALL SQUARE, Nazareth is looking for volunteers to help with leading a Rug Hooking class, Art Classes, a Meditation Group, an Environmental/Recycling group, or Special Card Games, etc. They also need volunteers to assist with their new Residential Living Clubhouse programming. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF INDUSTRIAL HISTORY, Bethlehem seeks volunteers who have a passion for history to work the admissions desk, give tours, or act as gallery guides. QUAKERTOWN BOROUGH has many volunteer opportunities available to help with their Annual Glow in the Park Run/Walk on Friday, May 10 from 6-10 pm. This family friendly night 1.5-mile walk/5k run will be followed by a Glow After Party with DJ, yard games, beer garden, vendors, and food trucks. Volunteer Opportunities include registration, children’s activities, race packs, T-shirt distribution, water station, course marshal, finish line, and set up from 1-4pm prior to event. THE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER, Allentown is looking for volunteers to help with their Pre-K children on Mondays through Thursdays from 9am-noon and 12:30-3pm. Volunteers are also needed to mentor teens from 5:30-7:30pm Monday through Friday. Monday is Art Day, Tuesday is Journal Writing/Community Awareness, Wednesday is Cooking, Thursday is Team Building, Friday is open ended. Child abuse clearances are required for both opportunities.
