BETHLEHEM, PA–Follow every kick, pass and goal the U.S. Women’s National Team makes as the popular FIFA World Cup® SoccerFest & Viewing Party returns to SteelStacks this summer for the FIFA World Women’s Cup®. The festival, which has been featured on ESPN, FOX Sports, USA Today and more, will show all three of the U.S. Women’s National Team preliminary group matches on a large outdoor screen on the SteelStacks campus, as well as offer a variety of soccer-related activities on the days the U.S. plays. In addition, FOX Sports will offer taped look-ins of the crowds at the viewing party as part of its nightly wrap-ups of the U.S. women’s team play from France.

Confirmed SoccerFest dates and times are below. SteelStacks will show all of the U.S. Women’s team matches should they advance to and through the knockout rounds:

June 11, 3 p.m.:   Thailand
June 16, 9 noon.:   Chile
June 20, 3 p.m.:   Sweden

Highlighting this year’s SoccerFest is the June 16 Youth Soccer Day built around the U.S. team’s match against Chile. The day features the return of the large LED screen (25-foot wide) that drew throngs of people to watch the U.S.’ World Cup matches in 2014 and 2015, as well as a Youth Soccer Clinic presented by the Tempest Women’s Premier Soccer League team. The fun-filled clinic, which is free and open to ages 5-12, will focus on a variety of soccer skills for all levels; parents should sign their kids up in advance at lvsoccerfest.com.

“The SoccerFest & Viewing Party really brings our community together in a special way, appealing to the region’s many cultures and soccer enthusiasts, while at the same time drawing casual sports fans who simply love to cheer on the U.S.,” says ArtsQuest Chief Operating Officer Curt Mosel, who heads the committee responsible for presenting SoccerFest. “When the U.S. Women played Japan in the 2015 finals, more than 8,000 people turned out to watch the match. We’re looking forward to having everyone come out this summer to support the U.S. team as it hopefully makes another run deep into the tournament!”

Other activities on June 16 include a special Father’s Day French Toast Breakfast at the ArtsQuest Center, soccer activities including soccer tennis and open play in the mini arena, and a screening of “American Futbol,” the documentary that follows four American filmmakers on their journey from the U.S. to Brazil in search of stories that define Latin America’s obsession with the beautiful game.
