Bear Creek Harvest Wine Festival To Feature Pennsylvania’s Best Wineries



 

Event Will Also Feature Local Food Vendors, Crafts

Macungie, Pa. – At least 20 Pennsylvania wineries and 16 specialty food vendors will be on-hand Oct. 25 when Bear Creek Mountain Resort hosts its 7th Annual Harvest Wine Festival at the scenic resort overlooking western Lehigh County.

The indoor event, which runs from noon to 5 p.m. features two large ballrooms for wine and food sampling, outdoor relaxation and a complimentary “wine check” for guests who wish to purchase bottles from the presenting wineries but don’t want to carry them around throughout the afternoon. Each guest will also receive a free commemorative tasting glass.

“We host two wine-tastings each year, one in the spring and one in the fall, and they have quickly become our most popular warm-weather events,” said Jeffrey Zellner, Director of Business Development and Public Relations for the resort. “We’ll have artisan food, live music, arts and crafts vendors and it promises to be a great time.”

Wineries include: A’Dello Vineyards, Antler Ridge Winery, Bee Kind Winery, Blue Mountain Vineyard, Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery, Buddy Boy, Cherry Valley Vineyards, Ferrone Family Winery, Juniata Valley, Kog Hill Winery, Naylor Wine Cellers, Paradocx Vineyard, Peace Valley Winery, Sand Castle, Stonekeep Meadery, The Colony Meadery, and University Wine Company.

Specialty food vendors include: BabaNonna, Backwoods BBQ Sauces, Bespoken Bacon, Classy Crocks & Dips, Clover Creek Cheese Cellars, Conebella Farms, Fat Head Peppers, JD Gourmet, Keystone Farms Cheese, Kiss Quintessence, Pappardelle’s Pasta, Sugar N Spice, Sweet Addictions, Sweet Finesse, Taste Artisanal Market, and The Daily Loaf.

Tickets are $25 till Oct. 22 and can be purchased online. Tickets will be available at the event for $30.

Bear Creek is also offering $5 “Designated Driver” tickets. Designated drivers do not receive the tasting glasses.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort features a 118-room hotel, two restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs and activities and amenities for all ages. Other seasonal events include the annual Cheese and Garlic Festival and an authentic Oktoberfest.
