Save the Date Please Joins us in the prayers of Eid-ul-Adha at Cocoa-Cola Park on Aug 11th 8:30 am 1050 Iron Pigs Way, Allentown, PA 18109 celebrations in the celebrations of Eid-ul-Adha.

This is first time in the history of Lehigh Valley Muslims all over the Lehigh Valley will converge in Coca-Cola park for prayers of Eid ul-Adha led Imam Bashir Bilal. More than four thousand Muslims will be gathered at the baseball stadium in a historic event organized by leaders of all the Islamic Centers in the Lehigh Valley. This is one the biggest holidays of the Islamic calendar.

The weather will be great, as the sun comes out in the soft blue sky with cool breeze, thousands of Muslims in white dresses will pour into Coca-Cola Stadium for the prayers. The morning will begin with the call of prayer and greeting of “Eid Mubarak”.

People will be wishing one another with blessings for the day in culmination of the annual pilgrimage, called Hajj, a tribute to Prophet Abraham’s life and legacy. The Coca-Cola park will become the epicenter for celebrations to mark Eid al-Adha (also known as the Festival of Sacrifice), the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide. Thousands of believers will gathered on Sunday for a prayer service.

Eid al-Adha is one of two major Islamic holidays, which marks the culmination of the hajj, or annual pilgrimage to the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The Eid and pilgrimage commemorate Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael in obedience of God before God sent a ram in his place. This marks the climax of the Hajj.

Such event develops friendships, bonds and stop the misconceptions about Islam. We need to build bridges between all faiths. Eid-ul-Adha embodies our three objectives: promoting Muslim unity, educating society about Islam and being active in community service. This type of events instills the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood to bring the community together.

We are looking forward to welcoming each and every one of you to join us for prayers. We would like to wish all the team a success and the event will be a spectacular, exhilarating and memorable.
