City Center Investment Corp. Pledges $1 Million Matching Gift to United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley

City Center Allentown Million Dollar Match will double all new and increased Leadership Circle gifts of $1,000 or more, up to $1 million.

 

Allentown, PA, August 6, 2019 – City Center Investment Corp., the real estate development company revitalizing downtown Allentown, Pa., today announced it has pledged $1 million through its Building Community initiative to match Leadership Circle gifts to United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV). The City Center Allentown Million Dollar Match will apply to new and increased gifts of $1,000 or more during UWGLV’s 2019 campaign.

 

“City Center Investment Corp. and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley share a dedication to building a brighter future for everyone in our community,” remarked City Center President J.B. Reilly. “Through the City Center Allentown Million Dollar Match, we believe we can make a positive impact on the critical work of the United Way by encouraging new and increased gifts to its campaign.”

 

United Way raises money and invests in programs that directly impact the lives of 75,000 people each year and create opportunities to improve the health, education and safety of everyone in the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Through the Million Dollar Match, donors will have the opportunity to double their impact. We aim to fully maximize every dollar of this matching gift and ultimately impact the lives of thousands of students, families and seniors throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley,” remarked David Lewis, President, UWGLV.

 

All new and increased Leadership Circle gifts are eligible for the City Center Million Dollar Match, including individual contributions and payroll deductions through workplace campaigns.

 

Building Community is the community-engagement initiative of City Center and its employees and principals. The initiative aims to revitalize downtown Allentown and its surrounding neighborhoods by providing financial support, in-kind donations and volunteer service, focusing on three key results-oriented areas: arts, community development and education. In 2018, CCIC donated more than $4.3 million total to 123 organizations and its 25 employees volunteered at nearly 50 organizations, donating more than 2,000 total hours.
