Senator Robert Casey, Jr. recently visited Via of the Lehigh Valley’s small group employment site at Cigars International. Senator Casey (D-PA) is a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and Committee on Finance and the Ranking Member of the Special Committee on Aging. In these roles, he advocates for people with disabilities and was interested in learning about the work Via does to ensure the people of all abilities reach their full potential.

After meeting with Via and Cigars International staff to learn about Via’s employment services, Senator Casey was given a tour of the Cigars International worksite by Jonathan Urban. Jonathan showed the senator the work he does in the sampling department and introduced him to his fellow coworkers.
